Selling, Buying and Everything in Between
The bulk of our days go to two jobs: getting a business sold for its owner and matching a buyer with a company that fits. We also do business valuation, exit planning, franchise resales, and sales where the building changes hands with the business. Partner buyouts and succession, mergers and acquisitions, and acquisition financing guidance round it out, so a buyer knows what a lender will ask for. Start with the service that matches where you are, or give us a ring and we can figure out the right fit together.

Sell a Business
We price your business, find qualified buyers quietly and walk the deal to closing, with every step and fee written down before we start.

Business Valuation
Find out what your business is likely worth to a buyer, based on your real earnings and recent sales, with every adjustment explained in writing.
Buy a Business
Register as a buyer, see new listings before they go public, and get help from first look to closing on an established business.
Exit Planning
A written plan that shows what your business is worth today, what buyers will question and what to fix before you list.
Mergers and Acquisitions
Confidential help selling to a strategic buyer or buying another company, with our scope and fee terms in writing before any work begins.
Franchise Resales
Sell or buy an existing franchise unit with help on valuation, franchisor approval, transfer fees and the lease, all laid out in writing first.
Business and Property Sales
For owners whose business sits on land or a building they own: we value both, set up the right deal structure and market them to qualified buyers.
Acquisition Financing
We help buyers line up a workable mix of bank loan, seller note and cash so the deal they want can actually close.
Partner Buyouts and Succession
When a partner wants out or the next owner needs to step in, we set a fair price, structure the payments and put the plan in writing.
How We Work With You
Selling or buying a business is a big deal, and most people only do it once or twice. We keep it simple and put the important parts on paper.
Our fee in writing first
Before you list, we write down what we will do, what we charge and when we get paid. You read it and ask questions. No add-ons show up later.
Paid when you are
Listing with us costs you nothing at the start. There is no retainer to sign, and nothing is tucked away in the fine print. Our pay comes out of the sale at closing, so if your business does not sell, we do not collect.
Confidential from the first call
Your staff, customers and suppliers should not hear about a sale from the grapevine. We market a business without naming it, and buyers sign a confidentiality agreement before they see the details.
Buyers who are ready
We ask buyers about their funds, their experience and what they want before we share a listing. That saves you from walking strangers through your books. New listings go to registered buyers first.
Straight answers on value
If your asking price is too high for the numbers, we will tell you and show you why. A price the books support sells. One that does not just sits.
What Moves the Price and the Fee
Two numbers matter here: what your business sells for and what our work costs. Both depend on the facts of your deal. Here is what moves them.
We start with a free, confidential valuation so you know what the market may pay. Our fee and what it covers go in writing before you list, and we do not get paid until you do.
- Earnings and records
- Buyers and lenders pay for cash flow they can verify. Clean tax returns, profit and loss statements and a clear owner benefit figure support a stronger price. Messy books pull it down and slow the deal.
- Size of the deal
- A small service company and a mid-sized operation with a dozen employees take different amounts of work to sell. The size and complexity of the deal shape our fee, and we spell that out before you list.
- Real estate in the deal
- Selling the building along with the business adds an appraisal, a property contract and often a different kind of financing. We cover that under business and property sales.
- How much the business runs on you
- If every customer calls the owner, buyers worry about what happens when you leave. A business with a manager and written systems is easier to sell and usually worth more.
- Franchise and lease approvals
- Franchise resales need the franchisor to approve the buyer and the transfer. Most sales also need the landlord to sign off on the lease. Each approval adds steps and time.

About Leander Business Broker
We are a business brokerage based in Leander. We help owners of small and mid-sized private businesses sell, retire or step away, and we help people buy an established business or franchise. We work from our office and by phone and video, so you do not have to drive in for every meeting.
We like to keep things plain. You will know what we charge, what we do for it and what the next step is. If a sale does not make sense for you right now, we will say so and talk about what would make it work later.
Where We Work
We are based in Leander and work with sellers and buyers across the northwest side of the Austin area. That includes Cedar Park, Brushy Creek, Liberty Hill, Santa Rita Ranch, Jonestown and Lago Vista. We also work with business owners in Round Rock, Georgetown, Hudson Bend and Pflugerville.

Because we meet by phone and video too, location rarely limits a deal. Buyers from outside the area are welcome to register for current listings.
How a Sale Runs
Every deal is a little different, but most follow the same path. Here is what to expect after you call.
- 1
A first conversation
We talk by phone, by video or at our office. You tell us what you want, whether that is selling, buying or planning an exit a few years out. No pressure and no cost.
- 2
Valuation and written terms
For sellers, we review your financials and give you a free, confidential valuation. Then we put our fee and scope in writing so you know exactly what you are agreeing to.
- 3
Quiet marketing and buyer screening
We write a blind listing that describes the business without naming it. Registered buyers hear about it first. We screen each buyer and get a signed confidentiality agreement before sharing details.
- 4
Offers, due diligence and closing
We help you compare offers, negotiate terms and get through the buyer's review of your books and contracts. We stay with the deal, coordinating with lenders, attorneys and accountants, until it closes.

Questions Owners and Buyers Ask
Something not covered here? (512) 402-2581
How much will I pay to list and sell?
Nothing at the start. We do not charge a retainer, and there are no fees hiding in the paperwork. Our fee is set by the size and complexity of the deal, and you see it in writing before you sign. It is paid from the sale proceeds at closing, so our payday is the same as yours.
How do you keep the sale confidential?
We market your business with a blind listing that does not name it or give away its location. Buyers sign a confidentiality agreement and get screened before they see financials. We also plan with you how and when to tell staff, usually near closing.
What is my business worth?
It mostly comes down to how much cash flow the business produces, how steady it is and how much it depends on you. Your industry, your lease and any equipment or real estate matter too. We offer free, confidential valuations so you can see a realistic range before deciding anything.
How long does it take to sell a business?
It varies with the size of the business, the price and how ready your records are. Some sell in a few months and others take longer. Getting your books in order before listing is the best way to shorten the wait.
I want to buy a business. How do I start?
Give us a call and register as a buyer. We will ask about your budget, your funds for a down payment and the kind of business you want. New listings go to registered buyers first, so registering early gives you a head start.
Do I need to have all the money to buy a business?
Usually not. Many purchases use a bank loan, seller financing or both. Our acquisition financing guidance helps you understand what lenders look for and how much cash you will likely need to bring.
I am not ready to sell yet. Should I still call?
Yes. Exit planning a year or more ahead gives you time to clean up records, build a team that can run things without you and raise the value of the business. A consultation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
